This evening I got off the phone with a customer care agent because I got locked out of my account due to forgetting the password. While I was on the phone with Margaret I told her, “Sometimes I get pictures and impressions for people about things going on in people's bodies.” Then I asked her about two conditions that I thought I heard.
Margaret said, “No, I sure don't have those conditions.”
I simply said, “Well I sometimes miss it. I guess I heard wrong.” But instead of stopping there, since I already opened the door to awkwardness, I said, “Do you happen to have any pain anywhere in your body?”
Margaret said, “Oh yes, in my lower back.” Then I asked what her pain level was on a scale from 1 to 10. She said a 5. “Margaret,” I said, “do you mind if I pray for your back?” She said sure, so I prayed once. The pain dropped to a 3, and she felt a warm tingling presence come. So I said, “If it can go from a 5 to a 3, it can go from a 3 to a 0. Let me pray again.”
After another short prayer, she said, “It’s all gone!”
I told Margaret, “This was the love of Jesus for you.”
Remember to keep looking, listening, and taking risks to put Jesus on display with love and power and press in even when you miss it on a word of knowledge. You might as well swing for the fences, so to speak, since you've already opened the conversation.
