Healings at Walgreens pharmacy...

Today I pulled up to Walgreens pharmacy so that my mom could pick up a prescription. I waited in the car while she went in, and as I was sitting in the car I looked over to woman sitting in her car. Her window was down, and as I looked over at her I had an impression that something was wrong with the left side of her body and she was in pain. It was a very fleeting thought, so I stepped out and risked it. I said, “Excuse me, ma’am. Do you have pain in the left side of your body?”

She looked at me a little shocked and said, “Yes, I do. How did you know that?”

“Ma’am, this may seem crazy to you but sometimes Jesus speaks to me about conditions in people’s bodies, and I’m a follower of Jesus. Could I pray for you?”

“Yes, you can!” As I got out of the car and went over to her car, she told me she just came from the doctor, and the whole left side of her body was in pain from her arm to her hip and to her leg. On a scale of 1 to 10, she said it was an 8 or more. Her name was Jo.

I began to pray by simply speaking to the pain and telling it to go. Then I asked, “What are you experiencing on your body?” She said she felt a tingling sensation all over her left side, and then she started to move her left arm up.

“I couldn’t lift it this high before!” She was shocked and excited. I offered to pray again, and this time I blessed the presence of the Lord on her and commanded the pain to go. Again, she said she felt more tingling, and then pain all went away!

“Let’s really check to see if its all gone,” I suggested. “Try to do something you couldn’t do before.”

She got out of the car, saying, “I couldn’t hardly walk, and I’m always in pain when I do. She timidly takes some first steps and then starts walking pain free. She explained that she had sent her sister/friend into the pharmacy to get her medications because she couldn’t walk well and was in so much pain. She was smiling and walking and saying, “Now I can walk in into the store myself!”

I asked her if she would like to share her story of how the Lord healed her, and she said, “Yes, I do.” So I pulled out my phone, and I thought I was recording her but found out it didn’t record. She had already walked into the store so happy and free. So I went into pharmacy a few minutes later because my mom still hadn’t come out. There I saw Joe with her friend/sister, and I asked her if she would allow me to record her testimony again.

“Sure, let’s go outside,” she suggested. As we were walking out of the store, I asked her how long had it been since she could walk like this with no pain. “Long time. I don’t hardly walk anywhere. Maybe to the porch, and that’s it.”

I turned to her sister and asked, “Did she tell you what happened?”

“Oh yes! She couldn’t do this before.” It was awesome. Here is where the sweetness and providence of the Lord comes in even more. After I we walked outside and filmed her testimony, Jo’s sister turned to me and said, “Thank you so much.”

“Well,” I asked, “is there anything you need prayer for?”

“Yes, I’m in so much pain myself I have fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis, along with some other issues.” She went on to explain her pain, saying it was about a 7 or 8 on a scale to 10.

“OK, let’s pray for you then.” I called my mom over and said, “Mom, come help me heal this woman.” Now my mom has never done anything like this before, but I was proud of her. She came right over without any hesitation, and we asked the lady if we could put our hands on her. She agreed, so my mom put her hand on the lady’s shoulder. I said, “Mom, pray like this: tell the pain to go.” So my mom very compassionately and sweetly told the pain to go and asked Jesus to let healing come. I also spoke to the pain, and then I asked the lady what she felt.

“I don’t really know how to describe it. It’s a numb-like tingling feeling coming all over me.” We prayed blessing over what the Holy Spirit was doing, and all the pain soon left. She started bending down, and kicking her legs. She was astonished and overwhelmed by the love of God. She broke down and started crying. I told her how much Jesus loved her, and she asked, “Can I give you a hug?” My mom and I hugged her and thanked Jesus for healing her.

After she shared her story on video, she just broke down crying again, thanking Jesus for his goodness. What was so amazing was if my phone would have recorded Jo’s testimony I wouldn’t have ever gotten to meet her sister and pray for her. But the other amazing thing was that my mom was with me and she got to help pray for this sweet lady to be healed. Come on Jesus you are so good!

(Here is some background info I found out later that helps bring a new perspective on Jo’s healing. My mom told me that she overheard the pharmacist say that they couldn’t full her prescription. But the Lord new this and had healed her before she found out that information!)
