Heaven is for Real - Popcorn & Healings
Took the kids on a field trip. (OK, we all accidentally slept in so we made it a field trip day. Jeanine is so going to kill me but the Kids are having a blast. I have one more day I will get them all to school on time and remember to pick them up ) Went to see the movie "Heaven is for Real". While I was waiting to get our popcorn, I asked the lady behind the counter if she had pain in her feet. She said she did. The pain was so bad and that her legs were also in a lot of pain deep down to the bone. I asked her on a scale from 1 to 10 where the pain was. She said a 7 or more. I took her hand, looked her in the eye, and said, "Thank you Jesus for healing her legs and feet." Then I told her she would feel a warm tingling feeling come over her.
"That's crazy!!" she said ask she felt the Lord's presence.
"Where's the pain now?"
"There is no more pain, and I felt that warm tingling all over!!"
I said, "That was the love of Jesus." Then I asked her where her faith was at in Jesus.
"Not much," she said. "I came from a very religious home."
I then said, "Jesus just wants a relationship with you. That's why he just came near you." It opened up a good conversation about some of the pain in her life and I just listen. Then I prayed for peace for all the chaos going on in her life and again restated that Jesus loved her and knows what's going on in her life and was just making himself known to her and that he was looking for a real relationship. Other customers were starting to line up and our movie was starting. Before I left she looked at me and said thank you.
Remember Heaven is for real. It's not just a movie based on a book, and it's not only a real place that Jesus spoke about, but heaven is expressed through earthen vessels with clay feet like you and me who simply called to demonstrate the reality of heaven by doing what Jesus did as we go about our day putting Jesus and Heaven on display.
Let's show people that Heaven is for Real by not just saying what Jesus said but rather doing what Jesus did.
