Here's the full story on the lady who walked away with her cane in her hand at Buy4Less.
My friends Mark, Ryan, and I went to Buy4Less looking to put Jesus on display. We say a lady walking with a cane with her husband. As we approached her, I asked her about her cane. She and her husband both did their best to communicate that they didn't speak English. Mark noticed that the lady at the perfume display spoke Spanish. I did my best to communicate to them to follow us, and they did.
We walked over to the lady at the perfume display and asked if she would help us translate. She said she would. (I'm sure she never would have thought we were going to have her translate a healing prayer.) I asked the perfume lady to ask what happened to the lady with the cane and what her pain level was on a scale from 1 to 10. She did, then I asked her to help me translate a prayer. She was so helpful.
As we prayed, the lady with the cane began to feel heat and tingling come all over her body. She became emotional and said the pain left. The perfume lady was a bit shocked and she said, "This is freaking me out. I feel goosebumps all over my body ." The lady with the cane was also shocked.
I asked the perfume lady to translate this: "Ask her if she feels comfortable handing me the cane and taking my hand and walking up and down the grocery aisle." She agreed and we were off, walking up and down the aisle. Then I let go of her hand. I had her cane in mine, and she walked up and down the aisle a couple of times with no pain and no cane. The perfume lady, the lady who used to walk with the cane, and her husband were amazed. I told her this was the love of Jesus for her. The perfume lady said that the lady with the cane said she didn't believe in God anymore until now because of a tragedy that happened in her family. I
looked her right in the eye and smiled and told her how much God loved her. She was teary eyed and was so thankful. It was awesome.
After it was all over we asked the perfume lady if she had seen anything like this before, and she said only on TV. I just smiled and said, "Well, it just happened in your store, and this is what every Christian is called to do."
Remember, we've been commissioned to go and live our lives in a way that puts Jesus on display with love and power.
