It's always amazing when God shares His heart, destiny, and details about another's persons life that you had no clue of in the natural. Tonight for dinner Jeanine and I were enjoying a great dinner at the Melting Pot downtown and a weekend away. (Thank you to the generous dear friends who paid for a weekend getaway and to Jeanine's amazing parents who said you need time to connect as a couple in the battle of taking care of not only a sick kiddo but 5 other ones.) As the waitress was giving us our dessert, I said, "Do you mind if I share something with you?" She said sure. "Sometimes I get pictures and impressions for people's lives. Do you mind if I share with you what I see?" I could sense the intrigue and wonder. Then I just began to tell her what I saw, and I continued for several minutes as the Lord gave me more.

She began to openly weep, saying, "You have such a gift. Everything you said was correct.”

I told her, "I'm not sure what your experience has been with the church or with Jesus, but I'm a follower of Jesus and sometimes the church has done a poor job of expressing his heart and ways. But this is Jesus' heart for you. He knows you and has destiny over your life."

She was so undone, she said, "I don't know what to say. All of what you said is true. I haven't been in the church or prayed for 8 years. Just 4 days ago I prayed for the first time in years. Then you share all this with me."

I then went on to encourage her, "In these last few years of questioning, Jesus hasn't been bothered by the questions and wrestling, nor has he turned his gaze and heart from you. Rather, he has fixed his gaze and heart intensely toward you. This is a message of his love and his destiny over your life."

She thanked us profusely and asked if there was anything else she could do anything else for us. She turned and walked away with a tears running down her cheeks and a glow and hope beaming from her countenance.
The Kingdom of God is at hand even when you're on a date and a getaway weekend with your wife.
