Stopped at a gas station to get some gum & water. Before heading out to teach some missionaries about power evangelism. As I was checking out, I felt the Holy Spirit speak to me about the cashier's right shoulder. The cashiers name is Linda. I said, "Linda, do you have pain in your right shoulder?"
Linda looked at me and said, "Why do you ask?"
I told her that I get pictures and impressions for people. "When I was standing here I felt as though you had an issue in your right shoulder."
Linda said, "I do."
I then told her, "It's Jesus who gives me these pictures and impressions. May I pray for your shoulder?" She said yes, so I took her hand and prayed. Linda's pain was at about 6 level pain on a scale from 1 to 10. After I prayed a quick prayer telling the pain to go and her body to be at rest, another customer came up to pay for their items. So I stepped aside so Linda could do her job. As she was checking out the other customer, she said, "My shoulder feels much better."
After she finished helping the other customer, I asked Linda if I could pray one more time. I took her hand and spoke to the rest of the pain to go. I said you are going to be feeling a heat or tingling right now, and the pain is going to leave." Linda, looked up at me with a smile and said, "My whole arm is warm, and all the pain is gone!" I told her this was Jesus loving on her.
Remember, the kingdom of God is at hand even when you're getting gum and water at a gas station.
Our job is simply to look, listen, and respond.
