I just got through helping Tyler setup his Xbox live account. Since we moved we had some issues. As the Xbox live agent, Rochelle, finished helping us, I asked her if she had an issue with the left side of her neck. She said she did. I told her I get pictures and impressions for people sometimes. Then I asked what her pain level was on a scale from 1 to 10. She said it was a 7, and she told me she has had this pain for years. I told Rochelle I was going to pray for her and all the pain would leave.
I prayed a simple prayer of command, telling the pain to leave. I told Rochelle that she would feel a warm tingling presence come over her and then for her to move her neck. She did and said she could feel the pain leaving as the pain went down to a 3.
“Let me pray again,” I said. “If it can go from a 7 to a 3, it can go from a 0 to a 3.” As I prayed again, Rochelle said she felt the warm presence and the pain leaving again.
She moved her neck to the left, which she couldn't do without pain, and she said, “It’s gone! No more pain!” She stated again that it's been years since she hasn't felt pain on the left side of her neck.
I then began to tell Rochelle this was the love of Jesus and this was a sign to her of His love. I told her what He did in her body He wanted to do in her heart, that He wanted a relationship with her.
I could tell she was taken back, and her voice seemed to quiver a bit. “Thank you so much for praying for me,” she said. She thanked me again, and we ended the call.
Tyler overheard the whole conversation because I had it on speaker. After we got off the phone he turned to me and said, “Daddy, that was worth it,” meaning all the time we had to trouble shoot the Xbox live problem.
This stuff always amazes me, and I'm always so nervous every time I take a risk and step out to pray for someone like this over the phone, and for that matter in person. I can feel the awkwardness and the questions: what if nothing happens? I guess it wouldn't really be a risk if I didn't have those doubts. I love Jesus and the way he asked us to step out of the boat and on the water. I share these testimonies for two reasons: one to glorify Jesus, and two to build faith in others and, to be honest, for myself because I still get hit with unbelief. And I know if the Holy Spirit can use me, he can use anyone to do the stuff of the kingdom and put Jesus on display with love and power.
Take a risk!
